Summer Fun

After we got back into our routine after our busy June/July, I decided we needed to keep ourselves busy close to home. We had one really fun day at the zoo. We, of course, saw a lot of different animals. We went to the petting and feeding area. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of going at the beginning of the day, so the animals were HUNGRY! I wasted half of my quarters because this one goat was just hanging out by the machine and would just eat the food right out of the machine. Finally, a lady working there helped us and told us to move away from the bully goat. Well, it wasn't much better over there. They just attacked us! I had horrible flashbacks from my childhood. "They were animals!" So we quickly moved on and made our way over to the Deer Park where you could feed deer who were slightly less aggressive but still awfully hungry. And the highlights of the day for the girls was the playground area and going on all of the mechanical rides.

Just a cute picture of the girls after they both fell asleep in Avery's Bed

Sierra loved sitting and watching the tortoises. Meanwhile, Avery was wanting to run off to see the next animal.

Here we are picking blueberries another day last week. Which was followed up with making Blueberry ice cream, Blueberry Tart, and Blueberry pancakes (Yummy!).

We ended the week with a trip to Uno Pizza Restaurant with some friends to take a tour and make our own pizzas. Sierra was a little grumpy that day, there was just no making her happy. She'd put the sauce on the crust and then cry that she didn't want it so we scraped it off. She ate most of her cheese while waiting for the waitress to pick up her pizza, so her's was pretty much just crust. Avery did an awesome job! She even added lots of mushrooms as a topping, her favorite!
