Halloween and Some Other Stuff

As you probably already know, we LOVE Halloween! As usual we kept ourselves pretty busy with as many Halloween festivities as we could. Here are some of the pictures, starting with the girls' school's annual Spooktacular Bingo. Once again, we didn't win anything, but we had a lot of fun!

Avery, the pirate, ready for some Bingo

And Princess Elsa, too!

Walking down the path to school
While we haven't found any place where we can actually pick pumpkins, we did find a farm on the way home from Avery's soccer game where we could grab a bunch.

Our awesome Halloween Decorations
For Halloween, we had Gramma, Grampa, Great-Grandma, and Great-Grandpa in town. We had a lot of fun with them all weekend! It was also our first time trick or treating in our new neighborhood, which was amazing. Not only are there a lot of houses, but a lot of people are very generous at Halloween! The girls got so much candy with quite a few full sized candy bars. People were passing out hot chocolate, hot apple cider, and Cory, Gramma and I got offered a few adult beverages! We had a great time!
Avery showing off her candy haul. It's a good thing she decided to ditch the plastic pumpkin for a pillowcase this year!

And Sierra got just as much!

While everyone was here, we celebrated Gramma's birthday with a DQ cake. Happy Birthday Gramma!

Just a silly picture of Sierra in a very bubbly, bubble bath!
Nana came into town just in time for some more fun stuff....
...Avery's Veteran's Day Program...
...and Avery's soccer tournament, in which she played great and her team won 2 out of 3 games! It is amazing how much she has improved over the course of the season. She even had an assist in one of the games, and she plays defense!

One last cheer for a great season!

Our Girl Scout Field Trip

Our Girl Scout Troop went on a field trip to Cox Farm where they have an Annual Fall Festival. The girls had a blast!! There were so many fun things for the girls to do. There were a couple of different slides, a hayride, a corn maze, rope swings, and so much more!

And Sierra on the rope swing

Avery on the hayride as we went through an old barn where it was a like a party with loud dance music playing and bubbles blowing.

Coming down the BIG slide!

Amazingly, we were able to get the whole troop to sit down long enough for a cute picture!

Stacy & Alex's Birthday

Over Columbus Day Weekend, we went up to New Jersey for Stacy and Alex's birthday party. It was a beautiful, fall weekend! We had such a fun time hanging out with our cousins, helping to get ready for the party, carving pumpkins, and trying out Stacy's new pogo stick!

We all helped decorate Alex & Stacy's cakes. Alex wanted Basketball cupcakes. And Stacy wanted a gymnastics cake (the girls made the gymnast for the top of the cake all by themselves. It was so cute!)

A cute girls (and Willow too!) picture before we left.

 And then, back at home...

Stacy was nice enough to give Sierra her old bike since, Sierra's is too small for her now. Here she is testing it out. It's the perfect size!

The girls put on their Halloween costumes so we could take some pictures for our Halloween card. Avery is going as a pirate and Sierra is Elsa from Frozen.
Posing with the newest addition to our family...Bob.

The "Boo-ing" has begun. Someone Booed us, which we were sooo excited about!! We didn't waste any time Booing two of our friends. It was so fun!
We get into the whole Booing thing. We looked like a bunch of thieves in the night, but no one saw us!

September 2014

Here are our pictures from September.

The first day of school at our new school, Sanders Corner.

Sierra, the first grader. Her favorite part of school after the first week: eating lunch in the cafeteria!

Avery, the third grader

This year, we live close enough that we are walkers. We are very excited!

Sierra was very excited!

There they go.

Sierra was a little nervous, but her big sister helped her out.

Sierra's big news...she can ride her bike without training wheels!! She is doing great and she is loving it. She loves to sing and sometimes makes up her own songs. One of the first days out riding her bike, she was singing, "Can't stop me now, now that I can ride my bike."  It was so cute! Although, I think Santa may have to bring her a bigger bike for Christmas. The princess one is a little small!

Sierra looking cute while picking out her outfit for school pictures (minus the hat)

Some pictures of Sierra out on the soccer field.

Being silly with Daddy at Subway in between soccer games, trying to find the score of the Penn State game (the picture was taken before we saw the score :( !)

August 2014

August was a little busy with moving, but here are a few fun pictures.

Our friend Lauren challenged the girls to do the ice bucket challenge.

Sierra had a hard time lifting the bucket, but with a little help she did it. She did not like it!

Avery did it too. She didn't mind it as much as Sierra but she said "That is freezing!"
 Avery's first soccer tournament.

It was at a high school in Maryland. yes, that is a high school. Unbelievable!

It's a little hard to see but there's Avery down on the sideline.

And that's her taking a turn in goal.

Here are some pictures in front of our new house!
