Last week was Avery's first official softball game. She was soooo nervous!! But she did great! She played in the outfield the first few innings. There were a few balls hit out in her direction and she really hustled after them and got them into the infield. Then she played second base for a while. She wasn't really sure of what to do there, but she was really focused, so I think she will pick it up in no time! At bat, she struck out the first time, but she did a great job watching the ball and not swinging at every pitch (which is a big improvement!) Her second at bat, she got a hit! Unfortunately, she forgot to run so she got thrown out. Overall she did awesome. And after the game we both agreed we couldn't believe that she was so nervous beforehand. She had so much fun!

Last Saturday was a busy day for us. Avery and I spent the day at Coco Key (an indoor water park) with her Girl Scout troop. She had so much fun swimming, going down the water slide, and floating down the lazy river with her friends!

Saturday was also Opening Day for Little League. Sierra got to be a part of the parade followed by her first T-ball game. She's on the Red team and has two of her friends from school on her team. She did great and had so much fun!

Finally, I wanted to share a funny story. Last Sunday we went to church. It was Family Sunday where the girls stay for the whole mass with us as opposed to going to Sunday School. Sierra struggles a bit sitting through the mass and was constantly asking how much longer until we could go home. Finally, the mass ended and the pastor was walking out. As he passed us, Sierra turned to me and said, "Hey, where's Jesus going?" as if to say, why does he get to leave? Apparently, she needs a little more Sunday School, but I just thought it was so funny!
